Snakes from Nature Center

Here’s my first test-cut of a thread on my new Sherline lathe CNC conversion. Using Linux EMC’s threadcutting example, tweaked to cut 1/4-28 threads in brass at 800 RPM, and 28.571 IPM. I’m using a single spindle index pulse, which is working thanks to help from “AndyPugh” of the Linux CNC group. Gecko G251s and 381 in/oz steppers push this little lathe with no trouble, and CNC4PC’s Spindle speed controller and breakout board add convenience. Thanks to everyone who helped or offered support during this setup.
